 Hero Honda Karizma

Hero Honda has revamped a new model of bike Karizma zmr 2009 on Monday to the rising competition from its competitors Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTSi and the Yamaha YZF-R15. India’s biggest motor bike seller has refined version of Karizma with its latest premium bike Karizma ZMR PGM-Fi with the price of Rs. 91,000 at Delhi show room.

New Hero Honda Karizma zmr is equipped with programmed fuel injection and oil cooled engine are its new features. Hero Honda Motors told in a statement that the new Karizma zmr comes with a 225 cc fuel injection engine and is fitted with digital ignition system and added that Hero Honda’s product range includes several successful motorcycles that have redefined the Indian motorcycle market across segments.

Mechanically the 2011 Karizma R gets a Bharat Stage III (BS III) compaint engine. Hero Honda says that the new engine has got "ASFS" tech. The power/torque figures of the engine is still exactly same as the older model. The 2011 Karizma does get a "Maintenance Free battery though.

A few features could/should have been added:

The Karizma R enjoys a reputation in India of being a very good touring bike. To maintain the same reputation, the Karizma badly needs Tubeless tyre & a Powerful Headlight. The current 35 watt headlight is not adequate when compared to the dazzling 55 watt projector headlamp of the Pulsar 220F.

But Hero Honda hasnt given the 2011 Karizma R tubeless tyres and the 35 watt headlamp still features on the new bike. The omission of tubeless tyres from the 2011 Karizma is odd since even the 150 cc Hero Honda Hunk now gets tubeless tyres.
