Timothy E Lee, President, International operations of General Motors has stated “Popular cars like the Chevrolet Corvette and Camaro will be brought to India and sold in select boutique showrooms in small numbers, as these cars will be imported as Complete Built Units (CBU) and the import duties will be high,” Lee in addition to this also said “The import duty required to sell the other kinds of Chevy vehicles like Corvette or Camaro is quite extensive to do it for the buying public. We will have a boutique offering for those kinds of brands but those will never be the volume products for India. Every one of those products will create its own space in India, but it will be very small in numbers”.There are very exclusive and comprehensive cars and will be imported as CBU – entirely Built Unit, that means there will be heavy premium engaged on these cars as heavy duties and taxed will be start a war on these cars. 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Hot Wheels Concept Other Customs Debut at SEMA
1967 Chevrolet Camaro Hot Wheels Concept, Other Customs Debut at SEMA Chevrolet is bringing a number of modified vehicles to this year’s SEMA show, ranging from the audio-focused Cover the World Spark concept to the nostalgic retro build of the 1967 Camaro Hot Wheels concept. Each modified Chevy brings something different to the SEMA floor, and shows that the bowtie brand still encourages customization.

Tony Stewart’s Camaro ZL1
NASCAR driver Tony Stewart helped design this wild Camaro ZL1, adding personal touches like the gray metallic exterior color and flat red and silver tribal-pattern graphics. Matching those graphics are the red halo accents surrounding the headlights, which sit behind tinted lenses. The custom build sits on five-spoke alloy wheels finished in Piano Black with red accents. Inside, the car features a Jet Black leather interior with suede door panel inserts and scarlet accent stitching. The seatbacks are embroidered with Tony Stewart’s signature.
Guy Fieri’s Corvette 427 Convertible Collector Edition
Chevy teamed up with TV personality Guy Fieri to build a custom Corvette 427 for the show. The convertible is painted black with yellow stripes as a tribute to Fieri’s personal 1968 and 2011 Camaro SS convertibles, and rides on 19×10-inch black Cup wheels in front, and 20×12-inch alloys in the back.
Chevrolet Performance 1967 Camaro Hot Wheels Concept
Paying homage to the very first Hot Wheels die-cast Camaro, this life-size concept attempts to recreate the look of the iconic toy car. The Camaro sports a Kinetic Blue paint scheme — the same as the 2013 Chevy Camaro Hot Wheels Edition, and a nod to the original toy’s blue Spectraflame color — along with staggered 18-inch alloy wheels with red-line accents, stainless steel “zoomie” side-exit exhausts, shaved door handles, a custom hood, and Hot Wheels emblems. Since blowing up a 1:64-scale toy to life size poses a few challenges, designers took some liberties with the original toy’s styling elements to avoid making them look “too cartoony” on a full-scale car.
For an interior, the ’67 Camaro Hot Wheels concept gets white leather bucket seats from a 2012 Camaro with shortened head rests and blue accent stitching, along with a silver vinyl-wrapped instrument cluster, silver vinyl door panels and inner rear quarter panels, silver headliner and sunshade, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The best part about the show car may be what’s under the hood, as the concept uses a new LS3 E-Rod Connect and Cruise crate powertrain system. That retrofitted setup includes a 430-hp V-8 engine mated to a 4L65-E four-speed automatic transmission, and is emissions-compliant and legal for installation in more than 20 million pre-OBD II vehicles in California, according to Chevy. The Camaro also gets a hydroformed front subframe with tubular control arms, four-link adjustable rear suspension, adjustable front and rear coil-over shocks, rack-and-pinion steering, and four-wheel disc brakes with six-piston calipers.
“Cover the World” Spark Concept
In conjunction with MTV Iggy, Chevy built this music-inspired, one-off Spark hatchback. The concept boasts a complete Kicker QS audio setup, which includes two 15-inch Solo-Baric L7 subwoofers, six 6-inch QS component sets, two 1000-watt mono subwoofer amps, two four-channel and two two-channel 500-watt mid and high amps, and a pair of Cush headphones. A Numark Mixdeck Quad Universal DJ system allows the subcompact to work as a mobile DJ or karaoke platform, and works in concert with the Spark’s other onboard gear to produce club-quality sound.
For exterior looks, the concept gets a Lemonade yellow exterior color, ground effects package, 18-inch five-spoke Spiral Grey alloy wheels, a Z-Spec grille, yellow-tinted chrome trim, headlights, and taillights, and “Cover the World” star-shaped graphics.
Fans will have a chance to win this unique Spark by voting for their favorite reimagined pop songs, which will be performed by four musical acts.
Camaro ZL1 Touring Convertible Concept
The Camaro ZL1 Touring Convertible concept features a green exterior finish and 10-spoke Chevrolet Accessories-brand wheels painted liquid metal with a milled wheel face. Chevy says this concept would be easy for tuners to duplicate, as it was put together using readily available accessories. The car also gets a matte-black splitter and rockers, blacked-out upper front fascia, liquid metal-finished windshield header frame, taillamp bezels, and exterior badges, a polished shock tower brace, Ebony leather seats with perforated Mojave inserts, and a Chevrolet Accessories Ice Blue interior lighting kit.
Camaro Performance V-8 and V-6 Concepts
These two performance-oriented concepts were built to show what’s possible with driveline and suspension kits based on components from the Camaro ZL1 and 1LE. The V-8 model gets a ZL1 rear differential kit, 1LE suspension kit, and ZL1 brakes. Also included in the build is a Concept dual-mode exhaust system, ZL1 rockers and rear diffuser, Camaro Dusk front splitter, staggered 20-inch black alloy wheels, and custom hood and decklid graphics.
